A way for busy gardeners: growing petunias without picking and watering

There are no lazy summer residents, and this is true, however, there are very busy people who, nevertheless, must keep pace with the site. If you would like to save time and effort that is usually spent on caring for seedlings, we offer you an interesting way to grow it, without picking and additional watering.

For this you will need the following materials:

  • 1.5 l plastic bottle;
  • nylon pantyhose;
  • Styrofoam;
  • Activated carbon;
  • food film;
  • seeds;
  • priming.

We start by cutting the bottle in two. The upper part with the lid is placed in the lower lid down, while it should not touch the bottom. You can adjust the height with scissors to cut off excess plastic.

A small hole is drilled in the lid in advance, into which a 0.5 cm wide strip of nylon pantyhose should be passed.

Strip the thread, stretch, adjusting its height. Seal and fix with pieces of foam.

Fill the soil, lay the tip of the kapron strip, close with another layer of soil.

Well spill the soil, spread the seeds, spray on top with water from a spray bottle.

And in the lower part we pour water, and also add 1 tablet of activated carbon to it, so that the water does not have to be changed often.

It remains only to cover with food film and send in a bright place at a temperature of 23 degrees before the seedlings emerge.
